Speaking of Oxymorons, have you heard of the book "Oxymoronica"? According to the author Dr. Mardy Grothe, "oxymoronica" (a word he coined) are phrases that may appear illogical or self-contradictory, but make a lot of sense at aa deeper level.

Some examples:

"Marriage is a mistake every man should make" ~ George Jessel

"People have one thing in common: they are all different" ~ Robert Zend

"When people are free to do as they please, they usually imitate each other" ~ Eric Hoffer

"I never let my schooling interfere with my education" ~ Mark Twain

"When a man steals your wife, there is no better revenge than to let him keep her" ~ Sacha Guitry

The book is packed with a ton of these really wonderful phrases, perhaps I'll borrow your idea and do a post on them soon.
