The movie Babel is a great contemporary story comprising four sub-stories in different corners of the world today. Cultures, languages & lifestyles clash to reveal how similar men & women are once you see beyond the superficial differences. Although the movie seems a tad prolonged at times, I thought it was a great experiment. A must see.

Thank you for the compliment!
Of course, wud love to be seen on your blog !!
i totally agree with you. babel's great, but i did find it a bit disturbing a times.
Hi Jacob...
You're right, it was disturbing. but it was also very thought-provoking.
My favourite scene was when Brad Pitt asks the Moroccan man how many wives he has. The Moroccan man says he hardly earns enough to be able to support one :)
Its funny how many stereotyoes we have & how different people really are.
the same director first made a mexican movie 'amores perros' (if thats the spell) which was when he actually tried interweaving seemingly unrelated plots to tie them dramatically in the end...i think it won / was nominated for the oscar...Mr. mani ratnam tried the same in 'Yuva'...Last year was 'Crash' somewhat similar...
:) first time on your blog today!
Hi Kunal, welcome to my blog. Yes, even I thought there were some similarities between 'Babel' & 'Crash' in the theme that something you do could affect someone else somewhere. Didnt think 'Yuva' was too great though (except for the Abhishekh Bachchan performance)
