I wonder as I look back at the footprints I've left behind;
How the grains of sand cling to my feet;
from the places I left behind.
With every step forward, the sand makes patterns on my feet;
from the places I left behind.
The people I met; the friends I loved; the life I lived;
from the places I left behind.

beautiful words, Radha....I feel a kinship :)
Home home or the home you just moved from, isnt it strange how changing the place we live in effects us, how we form a bond with every place we live in. Hopefully you'll settle in in your new home and fond memories of the places you left behind will keep you smiling.
LOL@ "verse bug" Swati.

tc...
When I left Dubai I was terribly homesick, because, like you, I went from that landscape to another that was so completely different. It took me a while to get Dubai out of my system and even though it's been 7 years it has never completely left me.
*hugs*
short, melancholy versus, i liked the read .. past is being reflected through.
Hi folks, thanks for the hugs :))
Well, I'm homesick in the sense I miss Dubai; often times even Mumbai.
But I'm not depressed, I like Singapore a little more with every passing day :)
What a beautiful poem & right now, pretty much how I feel........leaving my parents & my home country again for the Sandbox was heartbreaking, but I have to admit it was truly wonderful to get that first massive hug & kiss from Hubby :-)
Will catch up all your posts after the 2nd leg of the holiday xxx
Wow.. neat stuff.
Homesickness.. this too shall pass, only to come back another time ;)
Aww, that's just beautiful!! Sending you both much love & hugs half-way across the world!
