Happy Diwali Everyone!

This year we celebrated Diwali the good old way after many years, since Diwali is a public holiday in Singapore. So we put up our Diwali decorations & lights; wore Indian clothes; got lots of Diwali sweets & played taash (cards) till late in the night.

Hope everyone has a festive & fantastic Diwali!!

Why don't people know the good old ways of celebrating festivals anymore? Must everything become extravagant and hence destructive?

The scene in Bombay is so unimaginable, makes me wonder where the sense in people has gone!

Check out my post on this topic!

Radha, how wonderful that you were able to have a fairly traditional Diwali...I wanted to wear Indian clothes but it was so cold that particular night here in Toronto.

I didn't know Diwali was a public holiday in Singapore!

And yes, Diwali is a public holiday in Singapore thanks to the many many Indian-Singaporeans here!
