"After the Quake" by Haruki Murakami
A great, great collection of short stories set in Japan just after the 1995 earthquake in Kobe:This was my first time reading Marukami & I already want more.
I just finished "The elephant vanishes" and "Kafka on the shore" and was very impressed with his style. I think some credit is due to the translators as well. I'm sure it must be really difficult to translate his work, and not lose the meaning.

Hmm. Interesting storyline. I love the cover. This is going on my wishlist!
is it Marukami or Murakami. Not that it makes any difference :-)
Japanese short stories. Would be an interesting read.
was it amazing, good or worth a one time read?
Happy Reader,
It had been on my wishlist for such a long time (not this particular bok, but a Murakami)

Murakami. The stories are short but powerful; you'll like them.
Suramya,
Umm, on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this book a 9.

Cickable,
I'm sure Japanese is very tough to translate.
"Kafka on the shore" is next on my list too.
