They started airing Season 2 of "Heroes" recently in Singapore & it irks me how the writers of the show keep introducing more & more heroes/mutants on the show rather than working on their plot.
PS: Sometimes I wonder if I've a Hero living at home. Himanshu does possess the ability to stop hearing when I talk...would that count as a step forward in evolution?

No no, don't tell me more. I am yet to see the second season :-) If they have indeed not built on the existing characters, its a pity. I hope they have more coverage for Hiro, the Hero :-)
L gave up on this series this season (I gave up during the first season itself); there's pretty much a character for every possible super-heroic trait you can think of. But Lost - season IV starts in one week. Yay!
Have patience, Radha, it gets better and better with each passing episode. Too bad that we won't have season three here that was supposed to begin end of January...many are going off air because of the writer's strike. :(
And lol@ your live in "Hero".
Parth,
You like Hiro?? My favourite is the cop who can read minds. Its just such a cool super-power to have!!
Clickable,
I gave up on Lost somewhere in the middle of Season 2!!! They never explain anything in that show; its really a wild goose' chase!
Jas,
Well even if I crib about it, its not like i'm going to stop watching the show! So I guess patience it is! :)
I am smitten by "Dr Mohinder Suresh". :)
Jas,
I think his character is too much of a cliche....if they had to show an Indian, it had to be an engineer/scientist :)
LOL, I agree Radha.
re: mohinder. why's a specifically south indian guy with south indian parents (but an egyptian looking father) being named mohinder??? :)
but they had to introduce new heroes, else where does it go. plus, they'd set that up conveniently in Season1 with the "there are thousands" across the planet line and the dots on the map.
I can see this going the Lost way- round and round.
but heck, am tuning in anyway.
Shakester,
You know, I wondered about that too!! "Suresh" is a south-indian last name & "Mohinder" a north-indian first name. And I thought the father looked a parsi; but the dead sister in her picture was dressed in south indian clothes --hehehe!!
And about the plot -- thats the business model for all the American shows I guess. We get so hooked on to the drama we forget about the plot all together!
yup it is. Thats why its on tv! the rest of the concepts are called feature films :)
But I am ready to give season2 some time yet to evolve into something interesting. Of course, dont count on knowing who killed Hiro's father and how he 's a part of the 'group', anytime soon....:)
I have this evil urge to tell you all about the season 2 of Heroes!! Muhahahahahahahaa!
It will get very interesting!
Shakester,
Have you seen any of the good British shows? I think BBC's "spooks" is great & although its over-the-top its not as dramatic as American tv. Have liked some of the other older BBC shows too.
Jas,
Are you trying to tell me that we find out in season II who killed Hiro's father??? ***rubbing hands with curiosity***
not too many. Saw spooks long ago, see wire in the blood once in a while. yeah, the brit ones are always a little understated and try to focus more on the plot and humanity than the frills.
did you watch dexter when it was on air (think they are repeating season 1 these days on fox crime)
and heck we will probably know that at the end of season 2!!!
Shakester,
No, haven't seen Dexter; I dont think we even get Fox Crime. Let me check it out today when I go home!
you will if you have bbc entertainment, E1 etc....the so called digital pack
ha ha .. good husbands know the fine line between hearing and listening. good wives know the fine line between talking and blabbering!
Cheers to the Hero of the Day!
666,
haha!! In that case we're both pretty much border-line-good spouses :DD
