Suramya,
Hi! Yes, one of the pics is from Chinatown & the other is from Paragon (Orchard Road).
I think its going to be the year of the Rat.
awww these are very pretty shoes .. and I am sure the work done in 'em is manual .. not by a machine.
Looks Pretty!! It brings back memories of my trip to Shanghai. Shopping malls & bazaars had tons of beautiful stuff like these everywhere.
Nabeel,
Hi! How have you been?
Well, China is famous for its factories & assembly-lines. So wouldn't assume these are hand-made.
Happy Reader,
You've been to Shanghai? How did you like it? I am so keen on seeing China. Maybe someday soon!
reminds me of the phrase 'paint the town red'
666,
Hello, exactly why this post has that title! :D
we are in NYC right now for two days....and last eve we did NYSE (apart from other places) and i thought of your post ....remember??? :)
and just last evening we were talking how cool it would have been if we could have stayed longer and made it to Chinatown during their new year
those are resplendent reds.....a friend was telling me Chinese associate red and gold with happiness and prosperity ..and that explains those colors on happy occasions.....
Moi,
How was NYC? And what city have you moved to finally???
