This movie surprised me; its quite a thriller - - an interesting plot & made differently from the run-of-the-mill Bollywood thrillers.
Which makes me wonder... when was the last time they made a genuinely good Bollywood thriller? I can only think of lame ones like "Don" or really lame ones like "Humraz" at best.

It is loosely based on James Hedley's Chase..i liked the movie...and neil has done decent job.
I quite liked the movie too. Have you seen "Manorama Down Under"? I watched that movie with no expectations, and liked it as well.
Yogsma,
Yes, and the director has shown references to the book pretty often. Also, the references to the old Bachchan/ Dev Anand movies.
Clickable,
Not even heard about it. Will check it out at the dvd library.
Hmmm... this has been under "Very Long Wait" for the longest time on Netflix! I also heard about a film called "Dus Khanaiya" yesterday which is supposed to be quite cool.
hey
do watch Manorama Down under , its an awesome directed movie and well acted too.I loved it.
Jewel Thief is a fascinating thriller/suspense. There are plenty others too.
Gaurav,
Hi. Yes, I've heard abt "Dus Kahaniya" too; but not watched it yet.
Yogsma,
Thanks for the recommendation. Will look it up soon !!!
Parth,
Oh yes, there are tons of good Dev Anand/ Amitabh Bachchan thrillers. And "Johnny Gaddar" I thought was quite inspired by the thrillers of that era.
Jhonny Gadar was really awesome..well acted..well directed....dont know why it did not make much noise
Kewl, must watch JG one of these days. Bollywood is moving away from typical formula-based films...that itself is a welcome change.
i missed this one! we watched "the jagged edge" this weekend and realized our "kasoor" was a bollywood version of it. did anyone get around to seeing , "teen deewarien"......i had heard great reviews about that one but haven't had a chance to watch it either!!!!
Fighter Jet,
I thought so too; it was quite a well-made movie.
Kishor,
Yes, its so tiring to watch the same old boy-meets-girl over & over again!
Moi,
Yes, I've watched "Teen Deewarein". I quite liked it; I thought Nagesh Kuknoor had done a good job acting as well as making te movie.
U found Johnny Gaddar as a thriller one...lol..then wat will u say after seeing the movie Wrong Turn.
me too... I too saw it recently on so many persistent suggestions, and I must admit, was a good 3-4 hours spent.
