Pink, plastic, "Hello Kitty"

Is it a massive over-generalisation to say that South-East Asians love all that is "Hello Kitty" much more than any other group of human population ever loved any single brand?

Sneha,
Its hard not to notice :)

Parth,
Haven't heard of "Hello Kitty"? Its this Japanese cartoon character; and its quite a rage in this part of the world. Even 40-year old ladies will own "Hello Kitty" pens & stationary here.

There's a "Japanese mall" here in Cambridge (that has everything from Japanese curios, groceries to sushi restaurants , and it's referred to as "Hello Kitty" mall.

Yeah, the biggest one of the 'hello kitty' malls is in Tokyo; apparently its a must-see.
